Location
So why Charleston, anyway? Amanda attended school here at the College of Charleston. The city became home to her and she stayed a few years after graduating. One of her favorite places to visit while she lived in the area was Charlestowne Landing.
The park is located in West Ashley and is the site of the original European settlement in the area. The park has a zoo, several hundred wild turtles, a flock of noisy wood storks, a few gators, and of course the Legare-Waring House.
